Saturday, December 21st, 2013 - Evening Weather Discussion

Temperatures will rise to the low to mid 60's by tomorrow evening, then fall on Monday, reaching the mid 40's by afternoon.  On Tuesday afternoon, there is a chance of some light snow or snow showers that have the possibility of bringing a dusting of snow to our area just in time for Christmas.  Then the next storm to watch will be a developing low pressure area off the Middle Atlantic Coast on Thursday.  However, it is now looking more likely that this storm will stay far enough off shore that it might miss us with any precipitation.  Then the next more interesting possibility is likely to occur for New Year's Eve.  A storm may very well develop along the Gulf Coast and head northeast and in our direction.  This storm has the possibility of bringing significant precipitation to our area, and very possibly in the form of snow.  There is also a possibility of another storm as we head towards the weekend after New Year's.
