We will see a gradual warm-up through Sunday night with
highs reaching the low 30’s today, the upper 30’s tomorrow, the mid 40’s on
Friday, around 50 on Saturday, and into the low to mid 60’s on Sunday
night. The warm-up will be due to a
re-load of the pattern as a strong storm will move up to our west into Canada,
pumping warm and moist air into our area this weekend with a chance of showers
on Friday and Saturday night. The front
will come through on Sunday night, bringing the chance for showers or even
thunderstorms, and then it will get colder behind the front by Monday afternoon. The next chance for snow will be next
Thursday night and Friday morning as a low pressure area may form along the
coast. After that it may get quite cold
into the following weekend, followed by the chance for a very significant storm
to develop along the Gulf Coast, and then head northeast up the coast, possibly
forming into a potent Nor'easter just in time for New Year’s Eve and New Year’s
Day. Happy New Year!
