Tuesday, January 14th, 2014 - Evening Weather Discussion

Well, there will be one storm after the other starting on Thursday, and the cold air will be in place for the long term, but the question is, how much snow will we actually get?  At this particular moment in time it appears that the Thursday storm will completely miss us out to sea.  Then it looks as if the storm for Friday night and Saturday morning may side-swipe us, possibly giving us an inch or so of snow, and another weak storm may bring us a dusting of snow on Sunday.  Then the storm for the middle of next week is simply too far away to tell what will happen, although the potential still seems to be there for a significant storm, although even this storm does not look as impressive now as it did yesterday at this time.  Check back in the morning for the latest.  There is tons of potential and lots of cold air right through the end of the month.
