We will have rain today, then a relatively nice day
tomorrow, followed by the chance for some light snow, or light rain changing to
light snow as a Nor'easter develops off the coast on Thursday. Most of the precipitation should remain off
shore with this storm but it could get close enough to bring some areas a
dusting of snow on Thursday, and possibly up to an inch in some of the higher
elevations of Northwest New Jersey, while Northeast New Jersey could see a
mixture of light rain and light snow. Friday
should then be a nice day, followed by the chance of another Nor'easter for
Saturday morning that has the chance to bring us an inch or two of snow. It had looked last evening that this storm
could have a more significant impact on our area, but it is now looking as if
this storm won’t strengthen to those levels until it gets further north. Then for Sunday through Tuesday we will have
a chance for snow showers each day. It
had looked last evening as if the cold air would work into our area on Monday,
but it now looks as if that will wait until later next week. Toward the middle of next week there is the possibility
of a very significant Nor'easter developing in our area that would have the
potential to bring us a significant snowstorm centered on next Wednesday. We will just have to wait and see how that possibility
works out as we get closer in time. After
that storm passes, it looks as if we will have a chance for snow next Friday
and again next Sunday. Each one of these
storms could be significant and it looks as if there is no end in sight to the
cold air and snow chances every two days or so through at least the end of the
month.
