Wednesday, September 17, 2014 - Weather Discussion

The low reached 42 degrees at my weather station the other day and it is 42 again right now.

Did you see the meteor that came down over Northern New Jersey on Monday evening?  Click here to see the video.  My Verizon wireless service was also having some serious issues on Monday afternoon.  There was a power outage at Great Adventure this past Sunday and the power inexplicably went out at my home last evening for a minute.  Could this all be related to the big Solar Storm this past weekend?

Did you see that some areas around Denver already got their first snow?  Click here to see the video.

As far as our weather goes, it will be nice through Friday with highs mainly around 70.

Saturday will be variably cloudy with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm and highs in the low 70’s.

Sunday will be MUCH warmer with highs in the low 80’s as warm air surges north into our area ahead of the next cold front.  It will start out mostly sunny but clouds will increase in the afternoon and there will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms at night.

On Monday a low pressure area is likely to develop along the front, bringing with it a chance of showers and thunderstorms that could be heavy at times with a high in the low 70’s.

Tuesday through next Friday should be nice, but cool, with highs gradually rising from the mid 60’s to around 70.  Lows will be mainly in the 40’s.

Next Saturday there will be a chance of a shower or thunderstorm with highs in the mid 60’s.

Next Sunday and Monday should be nice with lows in the 40’s and highs in the 60’s.

Next Tuesday a cold front will approach, bringing a chance of a shower or thunderstorm and highs in the mid 60’s.
