Some crazy temperature extremes on the way, and hopefully some
relief from the dry weather too…
It will be amazingly cool again today with highs ranging
from only the mid 50’s in Central NJ to the low 60’s in Southeastern NY State
as a storm system passes to our south.
Tomorrow a cold front will approach in the evening, bringing
a chance of a shower or thunderstorm and highs ranging from the low to mid 60’s
in Northeastern PA to the low to mid 70’s in Northeastern and Central NJ.
This weekend should then be beautiful with highs warming
from the mid to upper 60’s on Saturday to the mid to upper 70’s on Sunday.
Unfortunately, on
Memorial Day we will have increasing cloudiness with an increasing chance for
showers and thunderstorms as the day progresses. Highs will be in the low to
mid 70’s.
Then, for pretty much the remainder of the two week period
we will have at least a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm each day and
it will be mainly HOT, except possibly next Sunday. Highs should be mostly in
the mid to upper 80’s, with the likelihood of some temperatures reaching the
low to mid 90’s from time to time. In fact, I would not be surprised if some
areas of Central or Northeastern NJ reach the upper 90’s on Wednesday, so be
prepared and make sure air conditioners are in place and working by the end of
the holiday weekend.
