Friday, November 27, 2015 - Morning Weather Discussion

HAPPY BLACK FRIDAY!!!  Enjoy the shopping!

October 2015 was the warmest October globally in recorded history. November is well on the way to being the same thing. Highs today will reach around 60 degrees in many locations.

Tomorrow a cold front will approach, bringing with it a chance of some showers, especially late at night and into Sunday morning. Highs will be around 50 tomorrow, and in the mid 40’s Sunday.

Monday will be variably cloudy and cold with highs only around 40.

Tuesday and Wednesday we will have a chance of showers as a cold front approaches from the west. Highs will be in the mid to upper 40’s Tuesday and the upper 40’s to the mid 50’s Wednesday.

Thursday should be mostly sunny with highs in the mid to upper 40’s.

Next Friday a low pressure area is likely to develop along the Gulf Coast and start turning northeastward along the East Coast. It still looks as if this storm will remain south and east of us and slide harmlessly out to sea. However, there remains a slight chance that this storm could turn more northward up the East Coast. If this were to occur it would bring us a chance of either rain or snow developing next Friday and continuing through the day on Saturday. However, it is more likely that this storm will miss us out to sea. I will leave it in the forecast as a slight chance of rain or snow on Friday and Saturday and I will keep a close eye on it just in case. Highs will be in the mid to upper 40’s.

Next Sunday and Monday should then be variably cloudy with a chance of a rain or snow shower as a weak disturbance drops down into our area from Canada. Highs will be in the mid 40’s.

Next Tuesday through Thursday should then be mostly sunny with highs in the mid to upper 40’s.
