Monday, August 29, 2016 - Evening Weather Discussion

Quite nice for a while in our area...

It will be nice in our area for the most part with the next chance for showers and thunderstorms being late Wednesday into Thursday morning as a cold front passes through our area, and then again next Wednesday through Friday as a tropical disturbance may approach our area off the Atlantic.

Highs will be mainly in the 80's tomorrow and around 90 in many places Wednesday, dropping to the low to mid 70's Thursday in most places, then rising back to around 80 in most places Friday through next Tuesday, then in the 70's to low 80's next Wednesday through Monday.

As for the tropical systems, one will be developing in the Gulf of Mexico tomorrow through Wednesday and could reach Hurricane strength prior to making landfall somewhere north of Tampa, Florida on Thursday. The next one will develop somewhere near Cape Hatteras the middle of next week and could become a Tropical Depression prior to making landfall and possibly bringing us a bit of rain next Wednesday through Friday. This does not however look like a big deal right now. The next system to watch will be a storm approaching off the Atlantic later next week. This storm could approach the East Coast towards the end of next week but it is still too early to tell.

Have a wonderful evening and check back for the latest on the developing storm in the Gulf of Mexico.
