Monday, September 26, 2016 - Evening Weather Discussion

Rain, finally...

Well, we will finally get some rain around here with some showers and thunderstorms moving in tonight as a cold front moves through. The showers and thunderstorms should then end by morning in most places, but could continue through the day along the coast and possibly on Long Island as well.

Then Wednesday through next Monday we will have a chance of showers or thunderstorms each day as a storm system forms along the coast and stalls. Highs will be in the low to mid 70's tomorrow, the upper 60's to mid 70's Wednesday, then falling to the 60's Thursday, the mid 50's to mid 60's Friday and Saturday, then rising to the low to mid 70's Sunday and Monday.

Next Tuesday through Thursday should then be nice with highs in the upper 60's to low 70's next Tuesday, the 60's next Wednesday, and the mid to upper 60's next Thursday.

Next Friday there will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms as a cold front approaches. Highs will be in the upper 60's to low 70's.

Next Saturday and Sunday will then be nice with highs in the upper 60's to low 70's.

Towards the end of next week a Tropical Storm or Hurricane may cross the eastern tip of Cuba, then head into the Bahamas. This storm will then likely head due north. Right now it looks as if this storm will remain out to sea, but this is a long way out and we will need to keep a close eye on it.

Have a wonderful evening!
