Saturday, September 24, 2016 - Evening Weather Discussion

Cooler and finally some rain in the forecast...

It will remain cooler through the next 10 days or so with highs ranging from the mid 60's to mid 70's tomorrow through Thursday, then dropping to around 60 Friday through next Monday, then rising to the 70's to possibly even low 80's next Tuesday through Friday.

The next chance of showers and thunderstorms will be Monday night into early Tuesday as a cold front passes through our area.

A strong upper level low pressure area will then drop down from Canada through the Great Lakes and towards the Middle Atlantic Coast. This will cause a large area of surface low pressure to develop along the Middle Atlantic Coast. This storm will then remain nearly stationary through next Monday, giving us a chance of rain developing Thursday and continuing into next Monday. This will also keep temperatures cool with highs struggling to reach 60 in many places throughout our area next Friday through Sunday. We do however need the rain.

Things should then clear out and warm to the 70's to possibly even low 80's in some places next Tuesday through Friday.

People along the Gulf Coast may also have to watch for the possibility of a Tropical Storm or Hurricane to develop in the Caribbean Sea next week and head towards the Gulf of Mexico, south of Cuba, next weekend. We shall see...

Have a fantastic evening!
