Sunday, September 25, 2016 - Morning Weather Discussion

Cooler and finally, chances for rain…

Temperatures got quite cool this morning, and cooler than forecast, reaching the low 40’s throughout parts of our area this morning. A low of 41 degrees was recorded at my weather station.

Moving forward, it will be nice today with highs in the mid 60’s to low 70’s.

Tomorrow clouds will increase in the afternoon and evening, with a chance of showers or thunderstorms late at night. Highs will be in the upper 60’s to the mid 70’s.

Tuesday there will be some showers or thunderstorms early in the morning as a cold front passes through our area. Highs will be in the upper 60’s to mid 70’s.

Wednesday clouds will increase once again with a chance of showers or thunderstorms developing at night, possibly heavy at times as a low pressure area starts to develop along the Middle Atlantic Coast. Highs will be in the upper 60’s to mid 70’s.

Thursday through next Wednesday will then be variably cloudy with a chance of showers or thunderstorms each day as the low pressure area along the Middle Atlantic Coast sits and spins. Highs will be in the 60’s Thursday, mainly the mid 50’s to the mid 60’s Friday through next Monday, rising to the mid to upper 60’s next Tuesday and the upper 60’s to low 70's next Wednesday.

Next Thursday and Friday then look nice with highs mainly in the low 70’s.

Late next week we will have to watch for the possibility of a Tropical Storm or Hurricane to form in the Caribbean Sea. This storm is then likely to track northward in our direction and could threaten the entire East Coast with some heavy rain and strong winds next Saturday. This is still a long way out though and we will have to wait and see.

Have a fantastic day!
