Tuesday, September 27, 2016 - Morning Weather Discussion

Rain, finally, and a Tropical System to watch…

Well, we are finally getting some rain around here, with a little overnight and more to come tomorrow through Monday, or possibly even Tuesday, as a storm develops over the Middle Atlantic States and remains nearly stationary through next Monday or Tuesday. This will bring us at least a chance of a shower or thunderstorm each day, and they could be heavy at times, especially Thursday night. Highs will be mainly in the low to mid 70’s today and tomorrow, dropping to the 60’s Thursday, then to the mid 50’s to mid 60’s Friday and Saturday, then rising to the 60’s to low 70’s Sunday and Monday, and then to the low to mid 70’s next Tuesday.

Next Wednesday through Saturday will then be mostly sunny with highs mainly in the low to mid 70’s next Wednesday through Friday, rising to the upper 70’s in many places next Saturday.

Next Sunday we will have increasing cloudiness with a chance of showers or thunderstorms at night as a cold front approaches our area. It will be warm with highs in the upper 70’s to low 80’s.

Next Monday there will be a chance of showers or thunderstorms in the morning as a cold front passes through our area. It will be cooler behind the front with highs in the 60’s.

People along the Gulf and Atlantic Coasts will also want to watch for a Tropical Storm or Hurricane to approach from the Caribbean Sea the middle to end of next week. It is still too early to tell whether this storm will head towards the Gulf of Mexico or up the Atlantic Coast, so anyone along either the Gulf Coast or the Atlantic Coast should keep a close eye on this one.

Have a fantastic day!
