Friday, October 14, 2016 - Evening Weather Discussion

Chance of frost in some places, then warm…

It will be nice tomorrow and Sunday but it will be chilly tomorrow morning with a chance of a frost or possibly even a freeze in East Central and Northeastern PA, Northwestern NJ, and Orange County, NY as lows dip as low as the low to mid 30’s in the coldest locations. Highs will be in the low to mid 60’s tomorrow and the mid 60’s to low 70’s Sunday.

Sunday night into Monday morning there will be a chance of a shower as a disturbance passes by to our north.

Monday through Wednesday should then be nice with just a slight chance of a shower Monday and Wednesday. Highs on Monday will be in the mid to upper 70’s, except for the low 70’s on Long Island. Tuesday and Wednesday highs will be in the low to mid 70’s on Long Island and the upper 70’s to mid 80’s inland.

Thursday and Friday will then be variably cloudy as an approaching cold front combines with a tropical disturbance approaching from the south. Next Thursday highs will be in the mid to upper 60’s in Northeastern PA, Southeastern NY State and Fairfield County, CT, the upper 60’s to low 70’s on Long Island, the mid to upper 70’s in East Central PA, Northern NJ, and NYC, and the upper 70’s to low 80’s in Central NJ. Friday highs will range from the mid 50’s in Northeastern PA to the mid 60’s on Eastern Long Island.

Next Saturday there will be a chance of rain as a storm system develops either along or off the Middle Atlantic Coast. It is still uncertain whether this storm will develop close enough to the coast to bring us rain next Saturday. It is possible this storm will develop far enough off the coast to keep us dry next Saturday. Coastal locations and Long Island would have the greatest chance of rain next Saturday.  Highs will be in the 50’s.

Next Sunday and Monday we will then have a chance of a shower as a disturbance passes by to our north. Highs will be in the mid 50’s to low 60’s next Sunday and the 50’s next Monday.

Next Tuesday looks nice with highs in the upper 40’s to mid 50’s.

Next Wednesday there will be a chance of a shower as a weak cold front passes through our area. Highs will be in the low to mid 60’s.

Next Thursday then looks nice with highs in the upper 50’s to mid 60’s.

Have a wonderful evening!
