Tuesday, October 18, 2016 - Morning Weather Discussion

Record-breaking heat possible today/tomorrow and then…

There will be record-breaking heat in parts of our area today and tomorrow as highs reach the low 80’s in some inland locations today and the mid 80’s tomorrow. There will be a slight chance of a shower tomorrow as a cold front passes through our area.

Thursday morning there will be a chance of showers, especially in the morning, as a storm approaches from the west. Highs will range from the upper 50’s in Northeastern PA to the mid 70’s in parts of Central NJ.

Friday there will be a chance of showers, especially in the afternoon, as a strong cold front approaches from the west. Highs will range from the low to mid 60’s in Northeastern PA to the low to mid 70’s in Central and Northern NJ, Southeastern NY State, NYC and in Fairfield County, CT.

Saturday through next Tuesday then look nice with highs gradually dropping from the mid 50’s to low 60’s Saturday to the mid 40’s to low 50’s by next Tuesday.

Next Wednesday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower, possibly mixed with snow in the morning in Northeastern PA, Northwestern NJ, Orange and Putnam Counties in NY and in Northern Fairfield County, CT, as a disturbance approaches from the west. Highs will be in the 40’s.

Next Thursday there will be a chance of rain. Highs will be around 60.

Next Friday will be nice with highs in the mid to upper 40’s.

Next Saturday there will be increasing cloudiness with a chance of showers, possibly mixed with snow in the morning in Northeastern PA, Northwestern NJ, Orange and Putnam Counties in NY and in Northern Fairfield County, CT, as another disturbance approaches from the west. Lows will drop to the mid 20’s to low 30’s inland and in the low to mid 40’s along the coast and on Long Island. HIGHS will be in the mid 40’s to mid 50’s.

Next Sunday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower. Highs should be in the mid 60’s.

Next Monday there will be a chance of showers with highs in the mid 60’s.
