Wednesday, October 26, 2016 - Morning Weather Discussion

A bit of a wintry mix for some of us tomorrow morning…

The low reached 28 degrees this morning at my weather station in Allamuchy Township, Warren County, NJ and the highs today will only make it to the mid 40’s to low 50’s in most places.

Tomorrow a disturbance that I had first mentioned two weeks ago, and with relatively good detail nine days ago, will be passing through our area, bringing some precipitation beginning in the morning as a mixture of wintry precipitation north of roughly Rt. 80, changing to rain in the morning in most places, but possibly remaining a mix into the afternoon in parts of Northeastern PA, far Northwestern NJ, Southeastern NY State and in Fairfield County, CT. There will be mainly, if not all rain, south of about Rt. 80. There could be some light accumulations of a dusting to an inch or so of snow and ice in Northeastern PA, far Northwestern NJ, Southeastern NY State, and in Northern Fairfield County, CT. The high temperatures for the day will occur at night, with highs in the mid to upper 40’s in Orange County, NY, the upper 40’s in Northeastern PA and Putnam County in NY, the low to mid 50’s in East Central PA, Northwestern NJ, Rockland and Westchester Counties in NY, and Fairfield County, CT, the mid 50’s in Northeastern NJ, and the upper 50’s to low 60’s in Central NJ, NYC, and on Long Island.

Friday and Saturday will then be variably cloudy, with a slight chance of a shower on Saturday. Highs will be in the mid 40’s to mid 50’s Friday, rising to the 60’s in most places Saturday.

Sunday, we will then have a chance of showers as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be mainly in the low to mid 50’s.

Monday through next Wednesday then look nice with highs in the low to mid 50’s Monday, the 50’s in most places Tuesday, rising to the 60’s next Wednesday.

Next Thursday we will then have increasing cloudiness as a storm system approaches from the west. Highs will be around 60.

Next Friday through Sunday then look unsettled as a storm may form over the Middle Atlantic States, bringing us a chance of rain next Friday and a chance of a shower next Saturday and Sunday. Highs will be in the mid to upper 60’s next Friday, dropping to the 50’s next Saturday and the 40’s next Sunday.

Next Monday and Tuesday then look nice with highs in the 40’s next Monday and the mid 40’s to low 50’s next Tuesday.

Have a fantastic day!
