Nice, then cold and unsettled next weekend…
It will be quite nice this weekend and work week, with just a slight chance of a shower on Eastern Long Island tomorrow, a chance of a shower Wednesday morning, and then a chance of a shower Friday. Highs will be in the 50’s and 60’s.
The showers Friday will be caused by a strong cold front dropping down from Canada. This will bring our area cold air for next weekend and a chance of a rain or snow shower next Saturday as the cold air pushes across the much warmer Great Lakes. This will cause significant Lake Effect snow in the typical areas of Northwestern PA and upstate New York next Friday night and Saturday. Some of this is likely to make it into our area Saturday, as either rain or snow showers. Next weekend highs will only be in the upper 30’s mid 40’s next Saturday and the low to mid 40’s next Sunday.
Next Monday a low-pressure area may approach from the Southeastern United States, bringing a chance of rain. Highs should be in the mid 50’s to low 60’s next Monday.
Next Tuesday should then be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower as the storm system pulls away from our area. Highs will be in the upper 50’s to mid 60’s.
Next Wednesday there will be a chance of rain as a cold front and associated area of low pressure approach from the west. Highs will be in the low to mid 60’s.
Next Thursday and Friday will then be mostly sunny with highs in the mid 50’s to low 60’s next Thursday and the mid 40’s to low 50’s next Friday.
Have a fantastic day!
