Thursday, November 11, 2016 - Morning Weather Discussion

Nice through Monday, then possibly a Nor’easter…

It will be nice through Monday with highs in the low to mid 50’s today, the 50’s to low 60’s tomorrow, the 40’s Saturday, the 50’s Sunday, and the mid 50’s to low 60’s Monday.

Then for the middle of next week it is looking likely that a Nor’easter will develop along or off the Middle Atlantic Coast. This storm may become quite strong as it moves northward along or off the coast. Right now, it is still too early to tell when exactly this storm will develop, how close to the coast it will come, and how strong it will become. The data has been switching from Tuesday to Thursday for the development of this storm, however the latest data is leaning towards Tuesday, so I will go with that for now. It is also entirely possible that western sections of our area will get little if any rain, with eastern sections possibly getting heavy rain. We will just have to wait and see how the data trends as we get closer in time to this potential storm.

So, I will go with variably cloudy skies and a chance of rain Tuesday, with highs in the 50’s.

Wednesday through Friday should then be mostly sunny with highs in the mid 50’s to mid 60’s Wednesday, the 50’s to low 60’s next Thursday, and the low to mid 50’s next Friday.

Next Saturday we will have a chance of rain as a disturbance approaches from the west. Highs will range from the mid 40’s in Northeastern PA to the upper 50’s in Central NJ and on Long Island.

Next Sunday and Monday then look nice with highs in the 40’s.

Next Tuesday we will have a chance of rain as a disturbance approaches form the west again. Highs will be in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s.

Next Wednesday will then be mostly sunny with highs in the upper 40’s to low 50’s.

Have a fantastic day!
