Thursday, December 1, 2016 - Evening Weather Discussion

Next up, chances for snow…

It will be variably cloudy tomorrow and Saturday with just a slight chance of a snow shower in Northeastern PA.  Highs will range from the low to mid 40’s in Northeastern PA to around 50 in Central and Northeastern NJ, NYC, and on Long Island, and from the upper 30’s in Northeastern PA to the mid 40’s in Central NJ, NYC, and on Long Island.

Sunday should then be mostly sunny with highs from the upper 30’s in Northeastern PA to the mid 40’s in Central and Northeastern NJ, NYC, and on Western Long Island.

Early Monday morning there will be a chance of light snow as a weak disturbance passes through our area. A dusting to an inch of accumulation is possible in some places away from the coast. Highs will be in the low to mid 40’s.

Tuesday there will be increasing cloudiness in the morning with a chance of rain or snow developing in the afternoon or evening as a couple of storm systems approach from the southwest. Highs will be in the 30’s to low 40’s.

Wednesday any rain or snow will end early in the morning, likely before sunrise. Highs will range from the mid 30’s in Northeastern PA to the mid 40’s in Central NJ and on Long Island.

Next Thursday there will be a chance of showers as a strong cold front approaches from the west. Highs will range from the mid to upper 40’s in Northeastern PA to the mid 50’s in Central NJ, NYC, and on Long Island.

Next Friday and Saturday will then be nice, but cold, with highs from the mid to upper 20’s in Northeastern PA to the mid to upper 30’s on Eastern Long Island Friday, and from the upper 20’s to low 30’s in Northeastern PA to the mid 30’s in Central NJ, NYC, and on Long Island next Saturday.

Next Sunday we will have increasing cloudiness in the afternoon with a chance of snow developing at night as a storm system approaches from the Southeastern United States. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.

Next Monday we will have a chance of snow ending in the morning, followed by clearing. Highs will be in the 30’s to low 40’s.

Next Tuesday and Wednesday then look nice with highs in the upper 20’s and 30’s next Tuesday and the mid 30’s to low 40’s next Wednesday.
