Sunday, March 26, 2017 - Evening Weather Discussion

45% chance of snow, 25% chance of significant snow…

The data this afternoon indicates a 45% chance of snow in at least parts of our area and a 25% chance of significant snow in parts of our area over the next two weeks as several storms systems approach our area from the west, potentially developing into Nor’easters as they reach the Middle Atlantic Coast. Of course these percentages mean there is a better chance we won’t see any snow than that we will, but it is interesting and worth watching nonetheless.

There will be a chance of showers tonight through Tuesday, with the best chances tomorrow morning and Tuesday night as two weak disturbances pass through our area. Highs will range from the upper 40’s to mid 50’s in Southeastern NY State to the mid 60’s in Central NJ tomorrow and then will be in the 60’s to low 70’s Tuesday.

Wednesday and Thursday will then be nice with highs in the 50’s to low 60’s Wednesday and the upper 40’s to mid 50’s Thursday.

There will then be a chance of rain Friday into Saturday morning as a storm system approaches from the west, possibly turning into a Nor’easter near the Delmarva Peninsula. Highs will be in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s Friday and the 50’s to mid 60’s Saturday.

Next Sunday then looks nice with highs in the mid 50’s to low 60’s.

Next Monday we will have increasing cloudiness with a chance of rain developing late in the day as a storm system approaches from the west. Highs will be in the mid 40’s to mid 50’s.

Next Tuesday we will have a chance of rain as the approaching storm from the west may redevelop near the Delmarva Peninsula, turning into a Nor’easter. Highs will be in the mid 40’s to mid 50’s.

Next Wednesday we will have a chance of rain ending in the morning, followed by clearing. Highs will be in the 50’s.

Next Thursday and Friday then look nice with highs in the 50’s.

Next Saturday then looks variably cloudy with a chance of showers. Highs will be in the low to mid 50’s.

Have a wonderful evening…
