Today through Tuesday will be nice with record-breaking heat possible in some locations Sunday and Monday. Highs will be in the 80’s today, the low 80’s along the coast and the mid 80’s to low 90’s inland tomorrow, the mid to upper 70’s along the coast and the 80’s to low 90’s inland Monday, and the mid to upper 70’s along the coast and on Long Island, and in the 80’s inland Tuesday.
Wednesday into Thursday morning we will have to keep a close eye on hurricane Maria as the latest data has her coming closer to the coast than prior data, threatening landfall on Coastal North Carolina, and then turning her northeast.

Based on the latest data I will go with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm Wednesday into Thursday morning as a cold front passes through, pushing Maria out to sea, but we will have to keep a close eye on Maria to see just how close she comes to the coast. Highs will be in the mid 70’s to mid 80’s Wednesday and the 70’s to low 80’s Thursday.
Friday then looks nice, but cooler behind the cold front, with highs in the mid 60’s to low 70’s.
Next Saturday then looks variably cloudy with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the upper 50’s and 60’s.
Next Sunday through Friday then look nice with highs in the upper 50’s and 60’s next Sunday, to the mid 60’s to low 70’s next Monday, the mid to upper 60’s next Tuesday, and the mid 60’s to low 70’s next Wednesday through Friday.
