Revised Snowfall Estimates

The snow has already started in most places...

The storm will bring almost all of us some snow as the storm did trend slightly north in the morning data. There are some revisions I will make to my accumulation estimates in many places, with the biggest one being in Central NJ as they had a lot of sleet last evening in many places there, holding down accumulations and there will again be quite a bit of sleet there today as well, and on Long Island. The rest of us should see all snow, with possible projected accumulations as follows:

Coating to 8 inches:  Northeastern PA with gradually increasing amounts as you head south from the NY Border in Susquehanna and Wayne Counties, to southern Monroe and Carbon Counties

3-7 inches:  Southeastern NY State, with gradually increasing amounts as you head south from Northern Orange County

4-7 inches:  Fairfield County, CT and Eastern Long Island, with some sleet mixed in, especially on Long Island

5-8 inches: NYC and Western Long Island

4-12 inches: Northern and Central NJ with the lowest amounts likely in far Northern Sussex County and the highest amounts most likely in Southern Morris and Warren Counties, Hunterdon County, and in Western Monmouth County, some sleet will occur in Central NJ

6-12 inches: East Central PA, with the lowest amounts in Northern Lehigh and Northampton Counties

It will also be windy, with gusts up to 30 mph inland and 40 mph along the coast and on Long Island.
