Saturday, July 21, 2018 - Morning Weather Discussion

A very stormy week ahead…

A very stormy week is ahead of us as a strong disturbance is developing along the Southeastern Coast of the United States. This strong disturbance will move northward, passing right over us tonight. This will cause showers or thunderstorms to develop tonight, possibly becoming heavy at times. More than 3 inches of rain may fall in a short period of time, potentially causing flash flooding in some locations. Highs will be in the mid 70’s to low 80’s.

Tomorrow through next Saturday there will be a chance of showers or thunderstorms as a very moist flow of air develops in our area as we will be sandwiched between two strong high pressure areas, one off the Southeastern Coast of the United States, and one in the Mid-Western States. Several strong disturbances will then be funneled between these two high pressure areas, passing through our area. A cold front will finally pass through our area Friday and next Saturday, clearing us out. Highs will be in the mid 70’s to mid 80’s.

Next Sunday through Friday are then looking nice with highs mainly in the mid 70’s to low 80’s.

Have a fantastic day!
