Sunday, August 19, 2018 - Morning Weather Discussion

So, the big question is whether this rainy weather pattern will ever end?

While the weather forecast went back and forth for today, we still end up with not such a wonderful weather day. Not horrible, but it certainly could be better, and yesterday there were some very heavy showers and thunderstorm around too. Will this rainy pattern ever end?  Not sure…

Today will be mostly cloudy with a chance of a shower, especially near the coast and on Long Island, as a disturbance develops near the coast. Highs will be in the low to mid 70’s.

Tomorrow and Tuesday will then be variably cloudy with a slight chance of a shower, especially Tuesday night as a cold front approaches from the west. Highs will be in the 70’s.

Wednesday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm in the morning, followed by clearing as a cold front passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 70’s to mid 80’s.

Thursday and Friday will then be mostly sunny with highs in the mid 70’s to low 80’s.

Saturday clouds will increase with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm at night. Highs will be in the mid 70’s to low 80’s.

Next Sunday through Saturday then look variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm each day as the constant stationary front along the East Coast may develop once again. Highs will be in the upper 70’s to mid 80’s next Sunday, the 80’s next Monday through Wednesday, and the upper 70’s to mid 80’s next Thursday through Saturday.

Have a fantastic day!
