Friday, January 11, 2019 - Morning Weather Discussion

Some snow possible Saturday night and then the next one to watch…

Happy Friday Everyone!

Today will be nice with highs in the 20’s to low 30’s.

This weekend a disturbance will approach from the west, bringing significant snow to areas from Colorado eastward through Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, and Delaware. The Polar Vortex will however push this storm south of the Allentown and New York City Metropolitan areas, keeping us on the northern fringe of the storm, with only light snowfall amounts. See my post from earlier this morning for the latest snowfall map.

Tomorrow clouds will increase with a chance of light snow or flurries at night. Highs will be in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s.

Sunday light snow or flurries will end early in the morning. It will then be variably cloudy with a trace to an inch of accumulation possible, except up to an inch and a half possible in parts of East Central PA and Central NJ. Highs will be in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s.

Monday through Thursday should then be nice, but with some increasing cloudiness late on Thursday. Highs will be in the 30’s Monday, the upper 30’s to mid 40’s Tuesday, the mid 30’s to low 40’s Wednesday, and the 30’s Thursday.

Next Friday is then looking variably cloudy with a chance of a rain or snow shower as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.

Next Saturday clouds will increase with a chance of rain or snow developing at night as a storm system approaches our area. Highs will be in the 30’s.

Next Sunday there will be a chance of rain or snow as a storm system passes through our area. Highs will be in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s.

Next Monday and Tuesday then look nice with highs in the 20’s to low 30’s.

Next Wednesday clouds will increase late in the day as a storm system approaches our area. Highs will be in the 30’s.

Next Thursday there will be a chance of rain or snow as a storm system passes through our area. Highs will be in the 30’s.

Have a fantastic day!
