Tuesday, September 10, 2019 - Evening Weather Discussion

Severe storms possible tomorrow and Saturday and then watching the tropics…

There will be severe different disturbances to watch in the tropics over the next couple of weeks, especially towards the end of the two-week period. One tropical disturbance is possible in the Gulf of Mexico and another is possible off the East Coast. In the meantime, though we will need to watch for the possibility of severe thunderstorms tomorrow and again Saturday. It will be variably cloudy this evening with a slight chance of a shower.

Tomorrow will be variably cloudy with a slight chance of an afternoon or evening shower or thunderstorm as a disturbance approaches from the west. Some of the storms could be severe. Highs will range from upper 70’s to low 80’s on Eastern Long Island to the low 90’s in West Central NJ. 

Thursday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid to upper 70’s.

Friday will then be variably cloudy with highs in the upper 60’s to mid 70’s.

Saturday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm as a cold front passes through our area. Some of the storms could be severe. Highs will be in the mid 70’s to low 80’s.

Sunday will then be nice with highs in the mid 70’s to low 80’s.

Monday will be variably cloudy with a slight chance of a shower in the morning, followed by clearing. Highs will be in the mid 70’s to mid 80’s.

Next Tuesday, September 17th through next Thursday, September 19th, will then be nice with highs in the mid 70’s to low 80’s next Tuesday, the upper 70’s to mid 80’s next Wednesday, and the 80’s next Thursday.

Next Friday will be variably cloudy with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm. Highs will be in the upper 70’s to mid 80’s.

Next Saturday and Sunday are then looking variably cloudy with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm. Highs will be in the mid 70’s to low 80’s next Saturday and the 70’s next Sunday.

Next Monday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm as a tropical system may approach from the Atlantic. Highs will be in the upper 60’s to mid 70’s.
