Monday, April 29, 2024 - Weather Discussion

Mid 80’s in parts of our area today with some afternoon and evening showers or thunderstorms possible…

It was interesting. I was looking at the USGS website this weekend and noticed that an earthquake showed up back in late March near Asbury Park that had not been there previously. As I already mentioned, the wacko idiot Donald Trump drastically cut funding to USGS just as the Republicans previously did to the National Weather Service and NASA, and as they have always done to education. They truly hate educated people. Educated people are a threat to their idiocy. Republicans however always find money to fight wars and kill people. Anyway, USGS is clearly going back and looking at the data prior to the earthquake to see what they can find. They simply didn’t have the manpower in place to do this previously and they are now spending more time and effort looking at this situation since it is centered so close to major population areas. By the way, my mother did mention that she felt the earthquake in late March.

As for our weather, late spring temperatures have arrived, with highs reaching the mid 80’s in parts of our area today. There will be a chance for afternoon or evening showers or thunderstorms as a cold front approaches from the west.

Tomorrow there will again be a chance for showers in the afternoon or at night, but it will be a bit cooler behind the front with highs ranging from the upper 50’s along the coast to the low 70’s in East Central PA.

Wednesday there will be a chance of showers during the day, clearing at night. Highs will again range from the upper 50’s along the coast to the low 70’s in East Central PA.

Friday will then be nice with highs ranging from the upper 50’s along the coast to the upper 60’s in East Central PA.

Saturday, clouds will increase with a chance of late day showers or thunderstorms as a cold front slowly approaches from the west. Highs will range from the upper 50’s along the coast to the mid 60’s in East Central PA.

Sunday will then be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm as the cold front passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 60’s to low 70’s.

Next Week there will be more of the same, with a chance of some afternoon or evening showers or thunderstorms next Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday.
