Showers and thunderstorms developing later today and then severe storms possible tomorrow, and then as for the Independence Day weekend…
There will be a chance of a shower or thunderstorm this morning in Southern NJ and then showers and thunderstorms will develop this afternoon and evening, except possibly on Long Island as a cold front slowly approaches from the west. Highs will be in the mid 80’s to low 90’s.
Tomorrow showers and thunderstorms will be likely and some of the storms could be severe, as a cold front passes through our area. Highs will be in the 80’s.

Wednesday will be mostly sunny with highs in the 80’s.
Thursday will be variably cloudy with a chance of an afternoon or evening shower or thunderstorm as a weak cold front passes through our area. Highs will be in the upper 70’s and 80’s.
Independence Day through Sunday will then be mostly sunny with highs gradually rising from the mid 70’s to mid 80’s Independence Day to the 80’s Saturday, and the mid 80’s to mid 90’s Sunday.
Next Monday, July 6th and next Tuesday, July 7th will be variably cloudy with a chance of an afternoon or evening shower or thunderstorm as a cold front slowly approaches from the west.
Next Wednesday July 8th will then be mostly sunny behind the cold front with highs in the 80’s.
Next Thursday, July 9th through next Saturday, July 11th currently look unsettled with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm each day as a cold front slowly approaches from the west. Highs will be in the upper 70’s to mid 80’s next Thursday and the mid 70’s to mid 80’s next Friday and Saturday.
Next Sunday, July 12th will be variably cloudy behind the cold front with highs in the upper 70’s to mid 80’s.
