Wednesday, August 20, 2025 - Weather Discussion

Hurricane Erin will bring high surf and riptides to coastal areas with showers today, then nice till Sunday…

Hurricane Emily is coming close enough to the coast to cause coastal flooding in North Carolina and will cause high surf and strong riptides to coastal NJ locations, so if you are going to the shore, stay out of the water this week.  Click here to read the latest on Hurricane Erin from the National Hurricane Center or view the image below (click on the image to enlarge).

The showers today are associated with a disturbance passing through our area, not from Hurricane Erin. Highs will be in the upper 60’s to mid 70’s.

Tomorrow through Saturday will then be nice with highs in the upper 60’s to low 70’s tomorrow, the mid 70’s to low 80’s Friday, and the mid 70’s to mid 80’s Saturday.

Sunday, showers and thunderstorms will be likely as a strong disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 70’s to mid 80’s.

Monday through next Friday, August 29th will be nice with highs mainly in the 70’s.

Next Saturday, August 30th showers will be likely and possibly a thunderstorm as a cold front passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 70’s to low 80’s.

Next Sunday, August 31st through next Tuesday, September 2nd will be nice with highs in the 70’s.
