Wednesday, February 27, 2019 - Evening Weather Discussion

A bit more snow tonight and Friday, and possibly a little more Saturday, and then possibly a lot more in places Sunday night…

It will be cloudy tonight with a chance of some light snow or snow showers tonight into early tomorrow morning as a disturbance passes to our north. There will be a trace to a coating of accumulation possible in parts of East Central PA, Northern NJ, NYC, and on Long Island, and a coating to an inch possible in Northeastern PA, Southeastern NY State, Fairfield County, CT, and on Eastern Long Island. Highs tomorrow will range from the mid 20’s to low 30’s in Northeastern PA to the upper 30’s in Central NJ.

Friday will then be variably cloudy with a chance of a little light snow, a snow shower, or flurry in the morning in East Central PA and in Central NJ with a possibility of a trace to a coating of accumulation as a disturbance passes to our south. Highs will be in the upper 30’s to low 40’s.

Saturday there will be a chance of some light snow in East Central and Northeastern PA, Northern NJ, Southeastern NY State, NYC, on Long Island, and in Fairfield County, CT, and a mixture of rain and snow in Central NJ. There could be a coating to an inch of snow with amounts of up to 2 inches possible in far Northeastern PA, Southeastern NY State, and Northern Fairfield County, CT.  Highs will be in the low to mid 30’s.

Sunday clouds will increase in the morning, with rain or snow developing in the afternoon and continuing through the night as a storm system passes through our area. The exact track of the storm will determine the rain/snow line. Highs will be in the 30’s.

Monday the precipitation will end early in the morning, followed by clearing. Highs will be in the mid 20’s to mid 30’s.

Tuesday will then be variably cloudy with a chance of a snow shower or flurry at night as a weak disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the 20’s to low 30’s.

Next Wednesday, March 6th, and next Thursday, March 7th, will then be nice with highs in the upper teens to mid 20’s next Wednesday and the mid 20’s to mid 30’s next Thursday.

Next Friday, March 8th, will then be variably cloudy with a chance of snow showers as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.

Next Saturday, March 9th, will then be nice with highs in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.

Next Sunday, March 10th, there will be a chance of snow as a disturbance may reach the Middle Atlantic coast and turn into a Nor’easter. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.

Next Monday, March 11th, and next Tuesday, March 12th, will then be nice with highs in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.
