I am going with 3-5 inches of snow tomorrow morning for
Warren and Sussex Counties and 4-6 inches of snow for Morris, Bergen, Passaic,
Essex, Hudson, and Union Counties, as I believe this storm dropping down from
Canada will strengthen quite rapidly as it nears the Coast, then become a Nor'easter. It will be quick hitting, starting between 4
and 6 am on Tuesday and ending between 12 pm and 2 pm on Tuesday
afternoon. We may then get another
dusting to an inch late on Tuesday night and into early Wednesday morning as
another impulse may move through our area. Then it will warm up toward the end of the
week with a chance of showers on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It may also get unbelievably warm on Sunday
as warm air gets pumped into our area from the south ahead of a strong storm
that is likely to go to our West. The
European model is showing highs on Sunday in the low to mid 60’s! Then it will cool off behind the front on
Sunday night and there is a slight chance of another storm developing that
could bring us snow from Sunday night through Tuesday, although that is just a
very slight chance at this point. Then we
will have to watch for the possibility of another storm developing along the
coast any time from Christmas Night through Friday. Again, just a slight chance at this time
though. The next storm to watch after
this will likely occur on Tuesday, December 31st, New Years
Eve.
