We will have showers until early this afternoon, and then
things should clear out by evening.
Tomorrow will be colder and a disturbance will move across the Great
Lakes, stirring up some Lake Effect snow showers that are likely to make it
into our area tomorrow afternoon, possibly dropping a dusting to an inch of
snow just in time for Christmas. Christmas
will then be nice but cold. On Thursday
we will have a chance of a snow shower as an area of low pressure develops well
off shore. We will again have a chance
of a snow shower on Friday. Then all of
next week looks fairly unsettled, however at the moment there is no single area
of organized low pressure showing up on any of the models. The models are currently just indicating weak
disturbances moving through our area, bringing some snow showers from time to
time starting this coming Sunday and going through the following Sunday. I am not sure that I buy into this however,
so I would certainly check back in for updates.
Any one of these disturbances has the possibility to become more
significant. I remain most focused on
Tuesday, December 31st, and Saturday, January 4th for the
possibility of more significant storms to form.
Check back.
