Sunday, January 12th, 2014 - Evening Weather Discussion

The only thing I am certain of right now is that the weather will be ok tomorrow, then we will get some rain on Tuesday.  After that, the forecast is merely an educated guess.  The models are in disagreement starting on Wednesday.  I simply don't trust any model right now past Tuesday.  The best I can say is that it appears we will get colder starting Wednesday and there will be a chance of a little light snow on Wednesday or Thursday.  A weak storm system may pass through bringing some light snow on Wednesday and or a Nor'easter may develop off the coast on Thursday.  I am not sure which if either of these will actually occur. Then I am fairly certain we will have a chance of some snow on Friday night and again on Sunday night and that we may see a significant storm toward the middle of next week.  It appears that we will be in a colder and snowier pattern starting on Wednesday but it is hard to tell how much snow we will actually end up getting.  Each one of these storms has the potential to become significant, but that does not actually mean that any of them will.  This is a very volatile weather pattern and I am not comfortable with the way any of the models is handling the pattern right now.  I would not be surprised with just about anything right now.  Let's see what happens in the morning.  Sorry, I wish I could do better than that, but honestly, the forecast is a coin toss beyond Tuesday right now.  I can't remember the last time I said that.
