Friday, March 12, 2015 - Evening Weather Discussion

The Polar Vortex is going to be making a visit, and with it comes...

It is becoming quite apparent to me that the Polar Vortex will be making a visit to the Northeastern United States next weekend...

First though, we will have some rain and likely a bit of flooding on Saturday with the combined rain and snow melt.

Then a cold front will move in our direction next Tuesday, bringing a chance of some showers, then it will get much colder with the possibility of high temperatures in the 20's and 30's next weekend and low temperatures in the teens as the Polar Vortex makes a visit.

The question is whether or not there will be any snow with the colder air that will be in place. I think there probably will be at least one last snowstorm in our area, probably centered on next Sunday or Monday, but it is still too early to tell.

So, enjoy the warmth while it lasts and get ready to say HELLO POLAR VORTEX!

Please join me early in the morning for the latest information on the potential for cold and snow next weekend.
