Thursday, March 12, 2015 - Morning Weather Discussion

Will we manage to escape the next two weeks and get into Spring without more significant snow?

We will have mostly sunny skies today but it will be much colder with highs around 40.

Tomorrow will be mostly sunny in the morning and then clouds will increase in the afternoon and night as a storm system approaches from the south. The highs tomorrow will be in the low 40’s.

Saturday rain will develop early in the morning, possibly starting as a brief period of snow, sleet, or freezing rain. Highs will be in the mid 40’s.

Sunday we will have variably cloudy skies with just a slight chance of a rain or snow shower and highs in the mid 40’s.

Monday we will have increasing cloudiness at night with highs in the mid to upper 40’s.

Tuesday we will dodge a bullet as a coastal storm will develop up to the north off of Maine, so we will only have rain showers in the morning, possibly changing to snow showers before ending. The highs on Tuesday should be in the low 40’s.

Wednesday we will have a slight chance of a snow shower with highs in the upper 30’s.

Thursday will be mostly sunny with highs in the upper 30’s.

Next Friday a low pressure area will approach from the west, bringing a chance of rain or snow developing at night and highs in the low 40’s.

The chance of rain or snow will continue through next Tuesday as the approaching low pressure area may slow down over the Southeastern United States and turn into a coastal storm. The highs next Saturday through Tuesday should be in the mid to upper 40’s.

Next Wednesday things should clear out with highs in the mid 40’s.
