Meteorologists are Wondering What is Happening Right Now
The model runs this afternoon have all developed this storm differently than previous runs all week and develop the storm too late to bring significant snow to New Jersey. I am still waiting for the European model at 2pm, but right now, I would have to say that it appears the storm may not be a big deal after all. Let’s wait and see what the European model has to say first, as it is the most accurate model, but I thought you should know. If these model runs are right, I will likely have to cut accumulations at least in half. Also, it is possible that the models could be suffering from convective feedback issues due to the thunderstorm development in the Southeast, so we will just have to wait and see. A lot of meteorologists and weather forecasters are scratching their heads and wondering what is going to happen right now. It is possible that the rain could change to snow as early as 5pm this evening as the sun starts to set and temperatures drop. I will keep you updated.
