Snow Will Start to Accumulate Again Tonight
As the temperatures start to fall with sunset tonight, the snow will once again start to accumulate. Temperatures should get below freezing everywhere, so everyone should see accumulating snows again once the sun sets. The precipitation will also intensify as the low-pressure center approaches from the west, right as the sun starts to lower around 5pm. This heavier precipitation should continue until around midnight. During this period, there should be 2-4 inches of accumulation. Light snow and flurries will continue to fall until around 8am with only a dusting of accumulation between midnight and 8am. I will post an update on the possibly very interesting longer term forecast into next week by about 2pm, after I have a chance to analyze the new European model that will start coming out in a half hour.
