FLOODING RAINS POSSIBLE FOR THE MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK

It is simply amazing how consistent the European model has been with showing the possibility of more than 4 inches of rain for northern New Jersey. The model has shown this potential for many days now and still does. This amount of rain in such a short period could produce flooding, so those who live near small streams or rivers should be watching this situation closely. The focus for heaviest rains will be on Sunday and again from Monday night through Wednesday. Today there will be a chance of showers with a high in the upper 60’s. The rain will be heavy at times on Sunday with the low in the middle 50’s and a high in the middle 60’s. Monday there will be showers with a low in the upper 50’s and a high in the upper 60’s. The rain will then become heavy at times on Monday night and continue heavy at times through the day on Tuesday with a low in the upper 50’s and a high in the middle 60’s. Wednesday there will again be rain heavy at times with lows in the upper 50’s and highs in the middle 60’s. Thursday there will again be a chance of showers with lows in the middle 50’s and highs in the upper 60’s. Friday there will again be a chance of showers with the low in the middle 50’s and high in the upper 60’s. Next Saturday there will be a chance of a shower with the low in the middle 50’s and the high in the upper 60’s. Next Sunday may be our first chance at a nice day with the low in the lower 50’s and the high in the lower 70’s. Next Monday should be a nice day with the low in the upper 40’s and the high in the middle 70’s. It looks now as if warm and nice weather may be on its way after next weekend.
