FLOODING REMAINS A CONCERN FOR MID-WEEK
The stage has been set in northern New Jersey for possible flooding as some areas have already received as much as 2 inches of rain, with at least 3 inches still to come over the next few days and possibly much more in some locations. There will be showers and thunderstorms today with the high in the middle 60’s. The rain will become heavy at times early on Tuesday morning with showers and thunderstorms likely and continuing throughout the day and night. The low on Tuesday morning will be in the middle 50’s and the high on Tuesday afternoon will be in the lower 60’s. On Wednesday the showers and thunderstorms will continue, heavy at times, with the low on Wednesday morning in the upper 50’s and the high on Wednesday afternoon around 70. There will still be a chance of showers and thunderstorms on Thursday, but they should start to decrease in intensity and frequency as the day goes on, with the low Thursday morning in the upper 50’s and the high Thursday afternoon around 70. On Friday, there will be a chance of showers with the low Friday morning in the middle 50’s and the high Friday afternoon in the lower 60’s. On Saturday, there will be a chance of a shower with the low Saturday morning in the lower 50’s and the high Saturday afternoon in the upper 60’s. On Sunday, there will again be a chance of showers with the low in the morning in the lower 50’s and the high on Sunday afternoon in the upper 60’s. Next Monday should be a nice day with a low on Monday morning in the upper 40’s and the high Monday afternoon in the upper 60’s. Next Tuesday should again be a nice day with the low in the morning in the upper 40’s and the high in the afternoon in the middle 70’s. Next Wednesday there will be a chance of a shower or thunderstorm with the low on Wednesday morning in the middle 50’s and the high Wednesday afternoon around 80.
