Flooding Likely by Tomorrow Morning

The flood threat continues for Northern New Jersey. The rain will move in either late this morning or early this afternoon, becoming heavy at times and lasting through the night and into tomorrow morning. There should be widespread flooding throughout Northern New Jersey by tomorrow morning, as we will receive 2-3 inches of rain between this afternoon and tomorrow morning. The rain should taper to scattered showers for Saturday afternoon and through the day on Sunday, with only a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm on Sunday, and there is even a possibility of a dry day on Sunday if we are lucky. Then scattered showers and thunderstorms should resume on Monday and Tuesday until the front finally approaches from the West on Tuesday night with heavy showers and thunderstorms, continuing through the night on Tuesday and into Wednesday morning. The showers should then become scattered in the afternoon and then the first good chance of a fully dry day will be on Thursday with only a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm. The good news is that next Friday, Saturday, and Sunday all look beautiful right now.
