Rainy Workweek, Cold Weekend with small chance of Rain and Wet Snow?

Showers and thunderstorms may develop this afternoon, and then there will be a good chance of showers and thunderstorms tomorrow. Thursday the showers and thunderstorms will continue and will likely become heavy. Friday it will start to clear out as a strong cold front moves through Northern New Jersey and brings much colder air for the weekend. Then things could get a little interesting as a coastal storm might develop off the coast of New Jersey on Sunday or Monday, which would pull even more cold air down from Canada and moisture in off the Atlantic Ocean. If this were to occur steady rains could develop at some point on Sunday afternoon or evening and continue into Monday, with a small possibility that higher elevations in Northern New Jersey could even see a mix with some wet snowflakes - welcome to October. If this were to happen, it would be the earliest I have ever seen snow in Northern New Jersey. Again, this has a very small chance of happening, but it is an interesting possibility.
