Detailed Look at the Next 10 Days

There will be beautiful weather until Tuesday, with highs approaching or possibly even exceeding 80 degrees in some locations through Tuesday! Over the weekend, Tropical moisture will start to develop over the Southeastern United States and will eventually turn into a rather strong Nor’easter, as it starts moving north along the East Coast. As this moisture moves north, there will be increasing cloudiness on Wednesday with a chance of a shower, then the system will start to consolidate and intensify into a Nor’easter on Wednesday night. Steady rain will start to develop early on Thursday morning and will increase in intensity later in the morning, with rain falling heavy at times until late Thursday afternoon, then decreasing in intensity prior to ending on Thursday night. Total rainfall amounts will depend upon the exact track that the storm takes. Right now, it appears that total rainfall amounts will be in the one-inch range, which would not be enough to cause significant flooding, but this will be watched closely. Unfortunately, this Nor’easter will intensify enough to bring cold air down from Canada after it passes by on Friday, so next weekend will not be warm, as it had looked yesterday.
