Latest American Model Run Now Has ALL SNOW on Thursday Night!
The latest run of the American model that just came out now has an ALL SNOW event for Thursday night into Friday morning. It has the cold front coming through on Wednesday with rain, bringing the cold air into our region, then the next storm moves into our area and intensifies into a Nor'easter along the coast. The snow would start on Thursday evening and end on Friday morning, with total accumulations of 2-4 inches, and possibly more. Stay tuned. To show you that this is not an impossibility click here for a link to a storm that affected Northern New Jersey on October 27, 2008, exactly three years ago to the day from the day this storm is expected to take place. In fact, I think it has snowed every year for the past three years in late October in the hills of Northwest New Jersey and I remember 6 inches of accumulation outside of Hackettstown, New Jersey also on October 27, 1982 I believe. And click here for a link to a video of snow that fell on October 17, 2009 in Allamuchy, Warren County, NJ. And oh, yes, my forecast for the National Weather Service is that they will talk about this possibility after it starts snowing on Thursday night. No joke. Don't expect them to talk about this until it starts. I am not kidding. I have seen this almost every year.
