Saturday Morning's Weather Discussion
Today and tomorrow will be quite nice but cool, with highs mainly in the upper 40’s today and in the lower 50’s tomorrow. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday will also be quite nice with highs warming to the upper 50’s on Monday and the middle 60’s on Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday a cold front will be approaching which will cause showers and thunderstorms to develop in our area. The showers and thunderstorms could be heavy at times on Thursday afternoon. Friday a strong area of low pressure may develop along this front to our south along the North Carolina or Virginia coast. This storm may strengthen at the same time that the front passes through our area on Friday. As the front passes through our area on Friday, the high temperature will be reached in the early morning hours and temperatures will fall throughout the day. Temperatures will start out in the early morning hours in the middle to upper 50’s and will drop throughout the day to the upper 30’s to lower 40’s by evening. As the storm strengthens along the coast of New Jersey on Friday the rain may be heavy at times in the morning and could possibly even end as snow flurries late in the day as the cold air continues to filter in after the storm passes. Next Saturday there will be a slight chance of a rain or snow shower as the storm sits and spins over Canada, bringing North winds, cold temperatures and possibly a little moisture into our area. The high on Saturday should be in the middle 40’s. Next Sunday and Monday will be quite nice, but cool on Sunday with a high in the middle 40’s, and warming slightly to the lower 50’s on Monday.
