Saturday Morning's Weather Discussion - European and Japanese Models Win Again - It Will Rain on Tuesday Night Into Wednesday
Well, I thought maybe all of the American models had a chance to win this time, but like I said, it was dangerous to think such a thing. The American models now look like the European and Japanese models for Tuesday night into Wednesday. This means warmth and rain instead of cold and snow. Our models even managed to trick me this time because they all showed a very similar solution, and apparently, a very similar wrong solution, while the European model managed to get it right, even working with older data. Our weather models are actually quite sad. It kind of goes along with needing Russia to fly our astronauts into outer space. Oh well. For those of you hoping for snow, sorry, it looks like two chances in a row were lost. For those of you hoping it would not snow, congratulations, it looks like you got your wish. I am still watching the big storm potential for the following Monday and Tuesday but even if that storm does occur, cold air may be difficult to come by, so it will likely be rain, but I will let you know. In addition this pattern, which currently looks as if it may continue until at least Christmas, and possibly for the entire winter, is one in which snow would be difficult to come by as when the storms move by us to the North, they bring warm air with them, causing rain. The October snowstorm is looking like more of an anomaly every day. We shall see.
