Tuesday Morning's Weather Discussion

Today and tomorrow will be gorgeous with highs in the middle to upper 60’s, then on Thursday a strong cold front will approach our area with showers and thunderstorms. The front will pass through our area on Thursday night bringing in colder air. I was concerned about the possibility of a strong storm that will be moving in our direction from the Atlantic Ocean but it now looks as if this storm will be pushed away from our area and out to sea by the strong cold front that will move through on Thursday night. It will be much colder on Friday with a slight chance of a rain or snow shower as the cold air will be in place and there may be some lingering moisture in the air, combined with some lake effect moisture off the Great Lakes. The weekend should be beautiful but cool in the mornings with lows around or below freezing and highs in the 50’s on Saturday and possibly reaching the lower 60’s on Sunday. This nice weather will continue until next Monday, then some moisture will stream north into our area ahead of the next cold front, bringing a chance of showers and thunderstorms on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.
