Tuesday Morning's Weather Discussion - Some Uncertainty for Next Week
Today there will be some showers, and then tonight there will be rain, heavy at times as a cold front moves through our area. Tomorrow should be a nice day although it will be a little cooler after the cold frontal passage. Thursday and Friday will be nice days but a little cool, then Friday night there will be a chance of a flurry as another cold front and weak disturbance move through our area. The weekend should be quite nice but a little cool. Next Monday there will be a chance of showers as the next cold front approaches our area. Then on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week, there is a lot of disagreement with the various models as to what will happen. Most models show a strong cold front passing through our area sometime between Tuesday and Wednesday morning of next week with showers before the frontal passage and then clearing out behind the front. The European model however has a very different solution and a completely different weather pattern altogether for next week. The European model passes the cold front through our area on Monday night, and then has the cold front stall out along the coast. Then it has an upper level low drop down from Canada behind the cold front and meet up with the cold front, forming a low-pressure area off the coast and stalling out there until Wednesday morning, changing the showers on Monday to light snow for Tuesday into Wednesday morning. It then has another storm approaching our area from the south on Thursday that could bring the chance of more rain or snow on Friday of next week. I have to caution that the European model is currently the only model showing such a solution and this is still a week away, so at this point it is just a possibility that needs to be watched. As readers of my blog know, the European model is statistically the most accurate model, so this is definitely something to keep an eye one. I will keep you updated.
