7pm Monday Evening Update

After analyzing this evening’s data, I am going to make a new forecast of 6-12 inches of snow for ALL of Northern New Jersey, with the exception of extreme Eastern sections, within about 5 miles of the Hudson River, where I am going to forecast 3-6 inches. This is due to the possibility of starting as rain or sleet, or a mixture of snow and sleet in far Eastern sections. If this area does not mix with rain or sleet, then the accumulations would also be 6-12 inches. In addition, some locations could get more than a foot of snow (West Milford would again be a prime candidate for this). The snow should start around 9 or 10pm on Wednesday night and end around 5 or 6 am on Thursday morning. This is my best guess at this point and is still very much subject to change. Stay tuned for updates.
