Thunderstorms over Northeast New Jersey, Snow in Northwest New Jersey

The rain is very much mixed with wet snow here as the winds have shifted from the northeast to northwest, which is drawing in the colder air and the temperature is dropping rapidly, now down to 37.2. Winds are also gusting over 20 mph.

  1. No snow here yet, but we actually had some lightning and a long sound of thunder about 30 minutes ago. Max amount of snow for Western Bergen is about 3-4 inches, right?

  2. I can just imagine that the mountains out here in Northwest New Jersey must be getting accumulating snow already. It is down to 35.5 here and it is mixed with snow, but anyone with elevation out here must be getting heavy snow already.
