Thursday Morning's Weather Discussion

Well, the mild weather that we experienced in November will apparently continue well into December. I see no change in this mild pattern anywhere in the near future. The pattern that we are currently in is one that favors mild temperatures ahead of storms, then cold air behind them, although still mild for this time of year. Snow lovers will have to wait until something changes this pattern. For now, the only chances of snow will come in the form of scattered flurries from time to time or an anomalous type of storm, like the one that we had in October, which is out of sequence with the current pattern for one reason or other. Anyway, for now it will be cool but nice through Sunday with highs generally in the upper 40’s to lower to middle 50’s and lows in the middle to upper 20’s. On Monday, a cold front will approach our area resulting in the chance of a shower. The cold front will stall before reaching our area resulting in an increased chance of showers on Tuesday. Then on Wednesday, a storm will form along this cold front in the Southeastern United States and move north towards our area. The warm air should remain in place on Wednesday resulting in mild temperatures and rain heavy at times on Wednesday. Then it will clear out and Thursday, Friday and Saturday of next week should be quite nice but cool with lows generally in the middle to upper 20’s and highs in the middle 40’s.
