EVERYONE SHOULD READ THIS ABOUT THE PERFECT STORM!
The "Perfect Storm" was a very similar situation to this storm, and is the only other hybrid type storm in recorded history. Some interesting facts about the "Perfect Storm". It developed on October 28 and it produced waves with an average height of 39 feet, with one wave recorded at a record 100 feet. By the way, the tornado that got me interested in weather that nearly hit my home here in Northern New Jersey when I was a child, was on October 26. Also, the freak October snowstorm last year was on October 29. It seems that this time of year has a history of producing some rather dramatic weather here in Northern New Jersey. Just keep in mind that this storm is likely to be MUCH worse than this. Click here to read about the "Perfect Storm".
